Geared towards the lower elementary kids, it would work for a science unit in the classroom or a family day out together exploring if you are looking for something fun to do on a weekend. The illustrations are in pretty winter colors and the snowy pages add to the feeling of being outdoors. The book cover is eye-pleasing as well. I think this is a "just right book" for ages 4-8.~
