Book Blogger Hop-October 21

Book Blogger Hop

Thanks to  Crazy-for-books for hosting this hop, I hope to hop on from time-to-time......I also found some new blogs and I am looking forward to knowing what others are reading and saying!

This week's question is not book related but a fun halloween one:

“What is your favorite type of candy?”

My answer:   We don't have alot of trick or treaters that come because we are at the end of a street and our neighbors always seem to not be home on that day (party poopers). I will buy our favorite candy so we can eat the leftovers. My favorite candy though is Mounds Bars, followed by Starbursts................my kids love Skittles and Three Musketeers and my husband loves Snickers.

Have a good hop weekend!!

  1. That's a shame that you don't get a lot of Trick or Treaters. You'd figure kids go to the end of the street and then back, I know I used to do that. Ah, well, at least you get to have the leftover candy. :) A nice variety with different candy favorites in your family. Have a nice weekend!

  2. We always end up with less trick-or-treaters than we plan, so I also buy candy I know I'll like, just in case!

  3. There have been a few years we had to go and buy a second box of candy because we ate the first one before Halloween came. This year I hid the boxes in a corner and we haven't touched them at all! My favourite candy is skittles. I can eat a mega sized bag in a day :P but for Halloween we always buy the peanut free chocolates. They are the best deal anyways. I have no idea what Mounds Bars taste like. I wonder if we get them here. I don't recall seeing them.

Anyways, I just popped by to say thanks for stopping by my blog and entering the giveaway and for commenting!

  4. Oh my gosh... I have not bought any Halloween candy yet. I don't want to eat any candy before the holiday. So, thanks for reminding me!
I did buy lots of Halloween themed jewelry - mostly bat and spider rings to give to kids who can't eat peanuts/chocolate/sugar, etc.

  8. That's a bummer about the trick or treaters. We have a few neighbors around us who don't do it either, so kids tend to skip over our stretch of houses. Oh well, more Reeses for me!

  9. Mounds bars are a great choice. I agree with your husband about the Snickers:) Last year we got zero trick-or-treaters and had to eat all the candy ourselves (I was sad, but I managed).

  12. Oh, we don't get trick-or-treaters, either, but we like living out by the goats & cows & few neighbors. We prowl with our four decked-out munchkins and then raid their buckets for EXACTLY such deliciousnesses.

  13. Just the sound of candies reminds me of my childhood. I've given up on them since.
